WASHINGTON, DC (KMOX) - No communication with Republicans on Illinois Senator Tammy Duckworth's Access to Family Building Act which would guarantee access to In-Vitro- Fertilization and other reproductive services.
The Alabama Supreme Court has ruled that embryo's should be considered people. Duckworth knows first hand about the importance of IVF.
Duckworth, a guest on CNN, says with this Alabama Supreme Court ruling, a doctor could face manslaughter charges. She also questions what would happen with her if she decides to donate a fertilized egg for research or to another couple.
Duckworth adds, Republicans know IVF is highly popular among Americans.
