Broth has recently been recalled at stores across the U.S., including Costco and Whole Foods.

In a Sept. 22 letter to Costco members, the food supplier said that “Culinary Treasures 32oz Organic Chicken Bone Broth” sold between Sept. 8 and Sept. 22 had been recalled.

“The product may have the potential for non-pathogenic microbial contamination, which may result in product bloating, shortened shelf-life and potential for early spoilage,” said the letter. “No illnesses have been reported to date.”

The Costco items were: #1095592 67200055858 (Carton) and 67200055865 (Club Pack) with lot code 98E08242 and a best before date of Feb. 2 2024.

“Please discard the product or return the item to your local Costco for a full refund,” said the letter.
