Tuesday, February 2nd, 2022 (02/22/2022) is proving to be a very popular date for weddings.

"It’s special. This date will never happen again," one newlywed said. He’s one of about 100 people - nearly 50 couples - getting married today at the Collin County Administration Building in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
To put it into perspective: Typically, only about 15 to 20 couples get married at the administration building per month.
"My staff and I are excited," Justice of the Peace Judge Paul Raleeh said. "This is the busiest wedding date that I’ve had since I got elected in 1998."
A crowd of brides and grooms were waiting outside the courtroom for their chance to get in the courtroom and say ‘I do’. But newlyweds said the wait wasn't making their big day any less special.
"I’m so exciting I’m shaking," one bride-to-be said as she waited to go inside the courtroom.
The day kicked off at 8:45 Tuesday morning and there will be one wedding every 15 minutes until 6 p.m. All normal court activity has been cleared to make time for the weddings.
