Fresh off last night's speech by Minnesota Governor Tim Walz at the Democratic National Convention, the Minnesota DFL's State Fair booth is buzzing with "day-after" excitement.

"It's nuts, I've never seen it this busy," said one attendee. "Apparently within the first hour, yes, they had surpassed all of opening days in the past."

The DFL booth was packed and immediately setting records. Although Walz' camo hats were long gone by 11:00 a.m. there was plenty of other merch to buy  like t-shirts.

"For sure, let's win this, got to take buttons home for all the people that can't make it to the fair," another person told WCCO.

It appears the Harris-Walz campaign has truly energized their base, at least in Minnesota.

Nate Pischke stopped by the booth Thursday afternoon.

"I've been a big fan of Tim Walz for a very long time," Pischke told WCCO Radio. "He's done a wonderful job in Minnesota and they've brought some joy to this hideous, dark battle."

In a Facebook post, the Minnesota Republican Party is reiterating a statement from the Trump-Vance campaign, saying Governor Walz, " Spent Zero Minutes Offering A Plan Or Defending Kamala's Record," during his speech at the DNC Wednesday night.
