This is a terrible thing for people who want to diet after the New Year. But, it's the perfect time to give your sweet tooth something it's probably craving.

The Girl Scouts launched their annual cookie season nationally today, and like many things in recent years, the prices are going up. Their most popular cookies — Samoas, Tagalongs, Thin Mints, etc. — will sell for $6, while specialty cookies Toffee-tastic and S’mores go for $7, compared with $5 and $6 respectively last year. Prices were last hiked in 2020, also by a dollar.

So if your diet and your wallet agree it's time to stock up on Thin Mints, Samoas, Trefoils and the other cookies while the supplies last. Girl Scouts didn't add any new flavors this year. You can purchase your cookies by finding out the nearest booth location HERE. All you have to do is enter your zip code and their website will show you Girl Scouts cookie booths near you.

People Magazine reports this is the last year for two cookies. After this year, they won't sell S'Mores or the Toast-Yay cookies.
