A Mississippi golf game turned ugly Monday night when a man allegedly bit off a victim’s nose.

According to a press release from the Bay St. Louis Police Department, 51-year-old Mark Curtis Wells of Biloxi, Miss., bit the nose off a victim, causing a disfiguring facial injury.

By the time police arrived, the victim was in the Hollywood Casino parking lot. They learned that an argument between several people had started during a golf game at the nearby Bridges Golf Course.

This argument continued throughout the day amongst the golfers, authorities said. It then culminated in the gory parking lot scene. Wells allegedly fled in a dark colored Tesla. A late model Corvette is also registered to Wells.

He was charged with felony mayhem and if found guilty could get a sentence of up to seven years in prison.

An investigation into the incident was ongoing as of Wednesday and Wells was arrested that day, said police. Bay St. Louis Police are seeking any information that could aid the investigation at 228-467-9222.
