Since the conservative apparel and accessories company Bring Ammo debuted its “Let’s Go Brandon” wrapping paper this month, it has sold more than 500,000 square feet of it.
Bring Ammo owner Seth Weathers told Fox Business that the product “started blowing up really quick.” Weathers said the idea came about while he was talking to a friend and soon after reached out to a local printer for help.
As of this week, the company is receiving “round-the-clock orders” for the wrapping paper.
For those who haven’t heard of the “Let’s Go Brandon” craze, here is a quick crash course: on Oct. 2, NBC reporter Kelli Stavast interviewed NASCAR Infinity Series winner Brandon Brown at the Talladega Superspeedway in Atlanta, Ga. As they talked, the crowd erupted in cheers of “F**k Joe Biden,” in reference to President Joe Biden. However, Stavast said on-air that they were chanting “Let’s Go Brandon.”
Almost immediately, many conservatives started using the phrase “Let’s Go Brandon,” to mean “F**k Joe Biden.” It started appearing in memes and various social media posts. Some conservative politicians have even used it.
In addition to the wrapping paper sold for $19.95, Bring Ammo offers apparel and Christmas tree ornaments with the phrase.
Weathers said people are “having a blast” with the wallpaper. He said he’s seen people use it for things such as guns they bought as gifts for family members on the opposite side of the political spectrum. Bring Ammo’s Twitter feed features photos of customers who have wrapped up gifts with the paper.
While Bring Ammo is selling yards of its “Let’s Go Brandon” product, other companies and organizations have started cracking down on the use of the phrase, said Fox.
