Since the Pentagon announced that sensitive documents were recently leaked, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R- Ga.) has been defending the 21-year-old arrested in connection with the leak.

In a Thursday tweet, the controversial lawmaker said that the leaker – identified by the U.S. Department of Justice National Guard Airman as Jack Douglas Teixeira – is “an enemy to the Biden regime,” because he is white, male, christian, and antiwar.”

She also misspelled his first name, Jack, as “Jake” in the tweet, and in another one posted Friday.

“The Biden Admin and Pentagon have been caught lying about the war they are funding and fighting against Russia in Ukraine, but they are in full spin mode blaming low level 21 yr old National Guardsman, Jake Teixeira, while they are ginning up full government censorship,” Greene wrote.

In a series of tweets, she went on to make claims about the Restrict Act, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Homeland Security, the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, and U.S. aid to Ukraine to help the sovereign nation fight off a Russian Federation invasion.

“While yes, leaking classified documents is serious, many are calling Jake Teixeira a hero for pulling back the flimsy transparent curtain and revealing what we suspected all along,” said Greene.

She also sent a letter Friday to Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin in which she called Teixeira a “whistleblower” who “exposed the corruption of the Biden Administration,” accused President Joe Biden of lying to the American people. Greene demanded that Austin answer a list of questions about the documents.

On the other hand, Pentagon Press Secretary Air Force Brig.
Gen. Pat Ryder has defined the leak as a “deliberate criminal act,” in violation of guidelines in place to protect sensitive information.

Tracy Walker, who served as a Central Intelligence Agency officer and Federal Bureau of Investigation special agent, told KNX Radio this week that Teixeira was in charge of improving a global communications network and would have had access to a wide amount of information.

“It’s enraging,” she said of his actions, noting that they could put people’s lives at risk and counties’ security at risk.
