The Pittsburgh-born McDonald’s Big Mac is getting even bigger and saucier.
The Double Big Mac will be available at McDonald’s locations in the Pittsburgh area and throughout the nation, beginning on January 24.
The Double Big Mac features four beef patties and more Big Mac sauce.
It comes with the normal pickles, lettuce, onions, American cheese and a sesame seed bum.
McDonald’s recently made chances to the hamburger, cheeseburger, double cheeseburger, McDouble and regular Big Mac.
They now come with softer buns, grill adjustments for a “better scar”, caramelized onions cooked on top of the beef and “meltier cheese.”
The Big Mac is the creation of Jim Delligatti when he began selling the burger at his Uniontown McDonald’s location in 1967.
The price of the new double version will vary by location.
“We think we’re going to be able to deliver a great tasting large burger at a superior value to what [customers] can get anywhere else," Chris Kempczinski, the CEO of McDonald’s, told CNN.
