Now that he is out of prison, Bill Cosby allegedly wants to hit the road for a comedy tour.

“The Cosby Show” comedian’s representative Andrew Wyatt told TMZ that his team has contacted “contacted several promoters and comedy clubs who they say are open to the idea.”

Cosby, 83, had served around three years of a three-to-ten-year sentence at State Correctional Institution Phoenix in Montgomery County, PA, when he was released June 30, according to ABC. The Philadelphia native was found guilty in 2018 of three counts of felony indecent assault for drugging and raping Andrea Constand at his home in 2004, said CNN.

Overall 60 accusers, including Constand, said that Cosby assaulted or raped them. Some activists believe his release is a blow to advancements made by the #MeToo movement, which gained popular support around the time of Cosby's conviction, said Reuters.

Cosby’s conviction was overturned after Pennsylvania's highest court found that his due process rights were violated, according to CNN. A panel of state supreme court judges said in their opinion that a former Montgomery County district attorney's decision to not prosecute Cosby in 2005 in return for his deposition in a civil case was ultimately used against him at trial, violating his rights.

Cosby tweeted his thanks to supporters after he was released.

TMZ also reported that Cosby is working on a five-part documentary series about his life that would include his trial and prison sentence.

“He'll be sitting down soon to do his interview for the project,” and his family, friends and to her celebrities have also been interviewed, said the outlet.

Before accusations about Cosby came to light, he had a reputation as “America’s dad” and appeared on popular sitcoms for decades. He also performed as a stand-up comic.
