
A suspect is in custody following an incident at UnitedHealthcare in Minnetonka. Early reports suggest the person arrested was an "intruder."
Police, SWAT Teams and the FBI converged on the campus late Monday morning, and Minnetonka police report there is no threat to the public, and they are clearing the scene.
The Minnetonka police department posted on X after 11:00 a.m. Monday saying, "there is currently a large police presence at the United Healthcare campus. We are monitoring the situation."
That was followed by another message saying the suspect was placed into custody "without incident."
Police have increased patrols of the campus since the company's CEO Brian Thompson was gunned down in New York City in December.
Suspect Luigi Mangione's attorneys were back in court Friday seeking to prevent the U.S. Justice Department from seeking the death penalty, saying it violated Mangione's due process.
