An 18-year-old who was found covered in dried blood after he crashed his truck is apparently refusing to tell investigators what happened.
Deputies found Aaron Richard just before 2 a.m. Monday inside his 1997 Chevrolet pickup truck after they responded to a "major accident" off Interstate 20 in Fort Worth, according to the Tarrant County Sheriff's Office.
At the scene, deputies observed "noticeable damage to the driver's side door, the tailgate, and front left quarter panel." They also noticed "a large amount of dried blood on the pickup and the suspect."
Police say Richard was "uncooperative" when asked about the source of the blood.
The police report notes that there was "a large amount of blood along the driver’s side A-frame, as well as the outside of the bed."
The sheriff's office didn't provide any other details on what may have led to the crash. However, investigators believe the blood found on Richard and his truck does not belong to him and was not a result of the crash, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported.
Police did not say if they think anybody is in danger or has been injured or killed, but they are asking for any witnesses to come forward and help them piece together what may have happened.
Richard was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated, per the Star-Telegram.
