If you're looking for the best pizza in the country, take a trip to the Big Apple and plan to stay for a while because the city is essentially the pizza capital of the U.S., according to new rankings.
50 Top Pizza, which calls itself "the most influential guide in the world of pizza," just released its rankings of the 100 best pizzerias in the U.S. for 2024, and taking the top spot for the third consecutive year is Una Pizza Napoletana in New York City.
In second place is Tony's Pizza Napoletana in San Francisco, and on the third step of the podium is Pizzeria Beddia in Philadelphia. That's followed by Ribalta in NYC in fourth place and Ken's Artisan Pizza in Portland rounding out the top five.
In sixth place is Jay's Artisan Pizzeria in Kenmore, NY, followed by Don Antonio in NYC in seventh place. Eighth place goes to Pizzeria Sei in Los Angeles, ninth place is La Leggenda in Miami, and the tenth position is Robert's Pizza and Dough Company in Chicago.
The guide also named the 10 best pizza slices in the country. Keeping the NYC streak alive, the top ranking goes to L'industrie Pizzeria, followed by Slice & Pie in Washington, D.C. in second place and Taglio in Mineola, NY in third place.
New York City is actually the most represented city in the rankings with 17 pizzerias, followed by Chicago with 7 and Portland with 6. The most represented state is New York with 19 pizzerias, followed by California with 14 pizzerias and Illinois with 7.
