British broadcaster and TV personality Piers Morgan sat down to interview Donald Trump for his new show "Piers Morgan Uncensored," and asked the former president directly about losing the 2020 election.

The trailer clip showed Trump eventually walking off set.

Morgan has been teasing the interview on Twitter, as it is set to air next week on Monday and Tuesday on Talk TV.

"Get ready for the most explosive interview of the year," Piers Morgan Uncensored tweeted on Thursday.

Morgan then tweeted on Thursday morning, "UPDATE: Due to the huge global interest in my explosive interview with President Trump (never known a reaction like it!), we will now be airing it over our first two days on @PiersUncensored next Monday & Tuesday."

At the end of the trailer clip, Trump stood up and walked off, saying, "Turn the camera off," and the edit then showed him saying, "Very dishonest."

A spokesman for Trump provided the full audio recording to NBC News, and showed the two men thanking each other for the interview, and also cleared up Trump not actually walking off the set.

"That was a great interview," Morgan said. Trump then agreed by saying, "Yeah."

"Thank you very much. I really appreciate it," Morgan then said.

Taylor Budowich, director of communications for Save America and Donald Trump, tweeted out a statement from Trump calling out the edit of the video clip.

"Piers Morgan, like the rest of the Fake News Media, attempted to unlawfully and deceptively edit his long and tedious interview with me," Trump said. "He wanted to make it look like I walked out on the interview when my time limit of 20 minutes went over by an hour. The good news is the interview was taped by us as a means of keeping him honest.

"The interview was actually very strong on the 2020 Election Fraud, with me calling him "a fool" if he truly believed those results. The evidence is massive and irrefutable (check out Truth the Vote and the Dineesh D'Souza documentary, which will be coming out soon).

"For those who want to make Piers look bad, compare his video promo and how it was doctored to the real thing. Hopefully they will now be doing some big changes to their final product. It just shows, however, what I have to deal with in the Fake News Media. He went out of his way to deceptively edit an interview and got caught. That is a big story, isn't it?"

Morgan was asked on Twitter about Trump's claim that the promo clip was "unlawfully and deceptively" edited.

"Yes - his claim is fake news," Morgan responded.

Trump has not given up on claiming that the 2020 Presidential Election dealt with voter fraud causing him to lose.

Morgan published an op-ed article on The New York Post on Thursday, explaining more about the interview, in which he mentioned that the two also discussed how Trump handled the COVID-19 pandemic and spoke about the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol that occurred after he lost the election.

Morgan noted that the two have had a friendship for 15 years, but he was forced to address his previous negative comments on Trump's presidency to his face.

"These were by far the worst things I’d ever said about a man with whom I’d been friends for 15 years, but I felt they were justified when I said them, and I still do now," Morgan wrote.

"Normally, he’d greet me with a cheery smile and the words, 'How’s my champ?,' because I was his first 'Celebrity Apprentice' on the series that made him a TV superstar," Morgan added. "But this time, there were no such welcoming niceties."
