Former President Donald Trump urged his supporters to get out and vote in Monday’s Iowa Caucus, even if it kills them.
“You must go caucus tomorrow,” Trump said at a campaign rally. “You can't sit home. If you're sick as a dog...even if you vote and then pass away, it's worth it.”
In one of the final polls before caucus-goers cast their votes, Trump was sporting a massive lead among Republican voters, a nearly 30-point advantage over his nearest competitor.
Despite four separate current criminal indictments and his loss in the 2020 Presidential election as an incumbent Commander-in-Chief, Trump remains the most popular GOP candidate in 2024 with 48% of respondents saying they would be voting for him.
Former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley, his closest competitor, is a distant second-place, polling at 20%. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis polled at 16%.
Both are famously former Trump allies with Haley having served as Trump’s United Nations Ambassador during his tenure in the White House.
