CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) – Sixth-grade students at Waldo Middle School in Aurora were supposed to be getting a remote lesson on Thursday but it didn’t turn out as planned.
Thirty students were in a classroom and were supposed to be watching a math lesson on Zoom with their teacher present in the room.
And a woman described by the district as a “vendor teacher” was seen on Zoom engaged in sex with a man.
Fox Valley Magazine, who was first to report this, said parents were outraged.
District 131 associate superintendent, Dr. Lori Campbell wrote in a letter to parents, ”Appropriate steps have been taken to ensure that the vendor and situation have been addressed. We will take all necessary steps to prevent anything of this kind from happening again.”
The vendor has not been identified but there’s a statement from them as well.
"We would like to apologize. We do not take issues like this lightly. Our team took swift action, investigated the matter, and terminated the employee,” the statement read.
