NEW YORK -- A series of aerial photos was taken Saturday of the site where the 12-story Champlain Towers South condo in Surfside, Florida once stood before it partially collapsed on June 24, killing 98 people.

The images showed the cleared lot, which had most of its debris removed on July 21. The last victim was identified on July 26: Brooklyn-born Estelle Hedaya.
As victims' loved ones and survivors demand answers from state and local lawmakers and officials, investigations into the building's collapse continue.
A group of charities and businesses announced last week they will help the displaced survivors of the collapse. They will pay the first and last months rent and security deposit at new apartments for about 30 individuals and families.
Survivors of the tragedy are also dealing with toll of the tragedy on their mental health.
Rabbi Zalman Lipskar of the Shul of Bal Harbour told the Associated Press that he told the building's survivors that he learned long ago from a Holocaust survivor that they shouldn't try to comprehend a reason why they lived. He said that would mean there was a reason their friends and neighbors perished.
“What we do know," he told AP, "is that we are here, we are alive."
