ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - Taylor Swift has seen some criticism from right-wing media figures for the past few weeks.
Right wing figures have been critical of Swift as of late, with failed GOP presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswany claiming NFL will rig Super Bowl for Kansas City Chiefs to benefit Joe Biden because of Swift and her boyfriend Travis Kelce, Fox News commentator Jesse Watters saying their relationship was engineered in a lab, and many more.
"I don't get it...the politics of it doesn't make sense to me" said John Hancock of 'Hancock and Kelley'. "I couldn't have picked Taylor Swift out of a lineup before this NFL season. But now she has come to attention, I have learned a lot like she write her entire catalog, which doesn't happen in the music industry anymore."
Hancock's co-host Michael Kelley thinks the right-wing anger on Swift is a bigger agenda of creating culture wars.
"This is a continuation of filling in their anger narrative that has to drive the Republican base," said Kelley on Total Information A.M. Friday. "She does have one thing that relates to white male Republicans: she's a woman."
Along the discussion with Swift, Hancock and Kelley, which airs on KMOX every Friday morning discussed more political topics like the Governor of Texas Greg Abbott saying Supreme Court can’t tell him what to do, along with polls show that young voters are not happy with Biden.
