Just days after the president’s personal attorney, Rudy Giuliani, tested positive for COVID-19, it appears another prominent lawyer on his legal team has done so.
Multiple news outlets, including CNN and HuffPost, are reporting Jenna Ellis has informed colleagues she’s tested positive for the virus after attending a White House Christmas party for senior staff last week. She was reportedly a guest of trade adviser Peter Navarro and was photographed not wearing a mask, reports confirmed by Axios and ABC News.
Ellis has been a visible leader in Trump’s efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election, appearing often on cable news outlets and leading press conferences based on conspiracy theories and unproven claims of voter fraud.
As with the infamous Rose Garden superspreader event in September, Axios said many within the White House fear last Friday's Christmas party could be another superspreader event in waiting. Many families were reported to be in attendance.
When asked, Ellis denied the reports and seemed to tweet about them Tuesday.
Giuliani, who the president announced tested positive for COVID-19 and is often seen with Ellis, has since been hospitalized and is receiving treatment.
