Three people escaped after being trapped by rising waters in an elevator in Nebraska.
After a severe thunderstorm drenched Omaha Saturday, Tony Luu said he and some friends got on the elevator to go outside and survey the damage.

As the elevator descended toward the lobby, Luu said water gushed through the vents filling it up to their necks.
Keeping his phone high and dry, Luu called his first responders and his roommate, who, with the help of two others, pried the elevator door open, freeing Luu and the others stuck.
All of the trapped people reported being safe and uninjured.
