Missouri executes death row inmate, described as model prisoner

BONNE TERRE, MO (KMOX) - Despite pleas from prison staff, Missouri has gone through with the execution of Brian Dorsey.

Dorsey was convicted of killing his cousin and her husband in 2006. Prison staffers launched the campaign to save Dorsey, and wrote a letter to Governor Mike Parson saying he was a model inmate who even cut the warden's hair after be was allowed to work as a barber.

The Associated Press reports Dorsey, who was 51-years old, was pronounced dead at 6:11 Tuesday evening following a single injection of pentobarbital
