(KMOX) - An Amber Alert has been issued after a 5-year-old child was abducted by his father following a physical altercation with the child's mother in south-central Missouri, police say.
Craig Emmerson, 5, is believed to be with his father, Chad Emmerson, 53, in a black 2020 Jeep Gladiator with Missouri license plates: SKU1LY. Police say he could be headed to Springfield or Howell County.
Police say the man physically assaulted the mother, fired a gun in the home and stated the mother "would never see the child again."
Police ask to call 911 or the Douglas County Sheriff's Department at 417-683-1020 if you see them or have any information.
