A unique companionship between a parrot and puppy has gained positive attention across the internet.
Wendy Albright, a resident of Idaho, posted the adorable video of her pet parrot meeting her pup for the first time. Albright said her parrot quickly captured the hearts of many across social media, KTVB reported.
Since already sharing funny videos to her TikTok page, she decided to film Sweet Pea, her parrot’s reaction to meeting her small black Lab.
You can see Sweet Pea petting the puppy’s head with her foot in the video and even saying “I love you” to the pup.
“I was holding the puppy, and the puppy was sleeping, and I allowed Sweet Pea to come meet the puppy,” Albright said.
After posting the video, Albright said she received “thousands of notifications” on the Tik Tok app. She shared how the video has already over 27 million views and more than 4.9 million likes.
“I think it’s just that the world, in this time that we live in, saw that video and just loved the unadulterated love of two animals just caring about each other,” Albright said.
Albright said she found Sweet Pea on Craigslist and explained how the bird keeps the young pup occupied, even when her new friend is in his crate.
