Thunderstorms rumbled across south central Kansas early Friday. The National Weather Service issued Severe Thunderstorm Warnings for several counties; including Sedgwick, Butler, Harvey, and Reno. The storms carried lightning, large hail, heavy rain, and flooding.
Quarter-sized hail was reported in Butler County as the storms travelled from west to east. Spotty power outages were reported in Wichita. Flash Flood Warnings were issued for several counties in the central part of the state. Butler County was hard-hit by flooding with several water rescues reported.
