A body discovered in remote Cowley County is believed to be Jeffery Jones, 50, of Hutchinson who went missing as was presumed dead in December.
In a news release, police said the search was a coordinated effort between Wichita Police, The Cowley County Sheriff's Office, The Kansas Bureau of Investigation, and the Kansas Highway Patrol.
Jeffrey Hill, 53, of Wichita, was previously arrested on charges of 2nd-degree murder, possession of methamphetamine with intent to sell, possession of narcotics, possession of marijuana, and resisting arrest.
