Wichita Police has identified 94-year-old Ralph Hunt of Wichita as the victim of a deadly collision on Saturday.
At approximately 3:15 p.m., officers responded to an injury accident at West 17th Street and North West Street. Upon arrival, officers located Hunt, who was unresponsive. Fire and EMS personnel attempted life-saving measures on Hunt, but he was pronounced dead on the scene.
The investigation revealed that a red Chevrolet Silverado, driven by a 22-year-old male, and a tan Chevrolet Silverado, driven by a 17-year-old male, were both traveling south on North West Street. The two trucks collided with Hunt, who was driving a white Lincoln Town Car west on West 17th Street. The 17-year-old driver received non-life-threatening injuries. A 15-year-old male passenger in the Town Car received serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Speed is believed to have been a factor in the two pick-up drivers' roles.
The accident remains under investigation.
