The Wichita Fire Department battled a house fire Tuesday night. Sedgwick County dispatchers say the call came in around 10 p.m. Tuesday in the 1500 block of North Stratford Lane near 13th and Woodlawn.
First units on the scene found a large hole in the floor of the structure and fire in a basement. The unstable floor forced firefighters into a defensive response from outside the home. There have been no updates on damage or cause of the fire. No one was home when the fire broke out, the home was being renovated. No injuries were reported.
