Increased interest in Kansas state and local elections

A few races are generating most of the interest in state and local elections in south-central Kansas. 

In the doctors' race, can Democrat Barbara Bollier defeat Republican Representative Roger Marshall in the race for the U.S. Senate seat vacated by the retiring Pat Roberts? Kansas has not elected a Democrat to the Senate since 1932. 


In the U.S. House 4th District race, incumbent Republican Ron Estes is challenged by Democrat Laura Lombard. 

Republican incumbent Michael O'Donnell is facing Democrat Sarah Lopez in Sedgwick County Commission District 2. O'Donnell promises if he wins, he will resign over a campaign ad controversy. 

In District 3, former T.V. reporter Mike Iuen challenges incumbent Republican David Dennis.
