The Kansas Highway Patrol released its Christmas Weekend Holiday Activity Report for 2020. The reporting period for the holiday ran from 6 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 24 through 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 27.
In summary the KHP worked one non-DUI related fatal crash and had two non-DUI related fatalities. There were 18 DUI arrests, double last year's total. There was a similar increase in speeding tickets issued, 590 compared to last year's 232.
