The race for Sedgwick County Commission District 2 votes on Friday shows Sarah Lopez is ahead of County Commissioner Michael O’Donnell.
As of Friday evening, Lopez was leading O’Donnell by 125 votes.
O’Donnell previously stated that he will step down if he won the votes, following allegations stemming from a political ad from last year’s Mayor's race.
Thousands of ballots have yet to be counted, and the race has not been finalized.
