Police looking for suspect wanted in weekend shooting

Police are investigating a weekend shooting in southeast Wichita.

Just before noon on Sunday, officers responded to the report of shots fired at a residence in the 2900 block of South Timberlane, near Pawnee and Hillside. 

Investigators say a man in his 50s was shot by his roommate at the home. He was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.  

Police are looking for a suspect that fled from the scene. He is described as a black male in his late 20s, wearing a yellow or orange hoodie and driving a green Kia 4-door SUV. Anyone that has any information on this crime is asked to call the WPD Detectives Bureau at 268-4407 or CrimeStoppers at 267-2111.
