Two people are dead after an early-morning shooting at a hotel in downtown Wichita. Around 12:20 this morning, officers were called to the Hotel at WaterWalk, in the 700 block of south Main.
Responding officers found a man and woman in their 30s not breathing inside a hotel room. Both shooting victims died from their injuries. Police Capt. Wendell Nicholson briefed reporters at the scene.
"There was an individual who ran away on foot," said Capt. Nicholson. "(We) Don't know if that person was involved or not. Our investigation is ongoing, we're still talking to people who may have some information."
