Wichita Police arrested 21-year-old Kane Guffey of Wichita for aggravated robbery. Guffey was arrested Thursday afternoon at a residence in the 1700 block of South Saint Francis Avenue.
At approximately 3:12 p.m. on Monday, officers responded to an armed robbery at the Pe Gas Station located in the 700 block of North Ridge Road. Upon arrival, officers contacted a 55-year-old male employee and multiple witnesses who reported an unknown male robbing the business at gunpoint.
The investigation revealed that the suspect, who was later determined to be Guffey, entered the business, fired a gun near the cashier, and demanded cash. Cash was given to Guffey, and he fled on foot, running northbound on North Ridge Road. No one was injured in the robbery.
After further investigation, Guffey was identified as being involved in the robbery.
