Another earthquake rattled Wichita this morning. The U.S. Geological Survey confirms a 2.7 magnitude quake at 2:34 a.m. centered three kilometers northeast of Eastborough. No damage was reported.
This is the sixth earthquake in the Wichita area since Thanksgiving. An earthquake expert says Wichitans shouldn't be overly alarmed. The highest magnitude of the 6 quakes was 3.3 on Tuesday. No damage or injuries were reported.
Rick Miller is a senior scientist with the Kansas Geological Survey. He says the area has a long history of minor earthquakes. He says it's always possible a more damaging earthquake could occur but that it's unlikely.
