The Wichita City Council approved pay increases for city employees in 2021.
The salary classifications approved Tuesday will translate to a 5% increase for Wichita Police Lieutenants.
Department directors will have a starting salary of $125K, and can make no more than $209K.
The majority of employees will be eligible for a 2.5% merit, or performance based, increase next year.
