Wichita mayor hopes to improve race relations

Wichita Mayor Brandon Whipple has created an advisory council of 20 citizens ... aimed at improving race relations in the community. Whipple says the idea is to take a "bottom-up approach to policy by talking about experiences and discussing ways we can be more open as a community". Whipple credits cooperation between protest leaders and the police department with Wichita avoiding the kind of confrontation in other communities "we're seeing on television".

Will the re-opening of Sedgwick County result in a spike in the number of COVID-19 cases? Whipple says we'll have to wait two or three weeks to see if there is an increase in cases.

Whipple commented during Mondays with the Mayor ... on the Steve and Ted in the Morning Show ... on KNSS.
