Wichita Police arrested a man on Christmas Day who stole a vehicle with a one-year-old child inside.
Police say it happened just after 11:30 a.m., when a man stopped at a gas station in the 2000 block of south Oliver. He left the vehicle running with his child inside. That's when the suspect stole the car.
Thanks to license plate reader data, police were able to locate the car in the 2300 block of south Terrace with the child unharmed. The suspect was arrested. His name has not been released.
