Kansan, Olympian, and former U.S. Representative Jim Ryun will be awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom on Friday. Steve Boyd, longtime friend of Steve McIntosh, was there when Ryun broke the 4-minute mile. Ryun was the first high-school athlete in the world to post a sub-4 minute mile.
