Grunt Style is giving its customers a new shopping experience when visiting its location in Carol Stream, Illinois.
The patriotic retailer is allowing its customers to watch its production facility in the Chicago suburbs in action.
“We have a really nice experience here in Chicago,” said Rick Posey, Gruntyle’s chief operating officer. “It’s an opportunity to connect with our core customers, patriots and veterans alike.”
The 1,450-square-foot facility features multiple glass windows on the retail floor.
“What they see basically is our t-shirts going on screen printing machines and they are able to see some of our most popular designs being printed,” explained Posey.
The location opened earlier this month and Posey said the shirt-making process has already got kids hooked.
“It turns into kind of a family event,” he said.

Grunt Style began in 2009 and is headquartered in San Antonio, Texas.
“I would say probably over the last 24 to 36 months we’ve seen real increased demand in our products, not only among veterans but first responders,” Posey said. “If you love this country, you’re going to love what we stand for.”
Posey said the production facility also speaks to Grunt Style’s core mission -- pride in self, pride in country and pride in the military.
“Most of our key leaders are veterans at these facilities and they are able to see out onto the floor at the facility,” he added. “Many of the employees at the facility are also veterans.”
The company also offers tours of the facilities, giving customers a chance to meet and interact with its veteran employees.
“That allows them to connect with us not only as a brand, but with our employees,” said Posey. “It’s been a very positive experience.”
Grunt Style also recently opened a location aboard Fort Sam Houston in Texas. To learn more about the company, visit here.
