Police are investigating after a 50-year-old woman and a 58-year-old man were found dead in a home in Wichita’s Riverside neighborhood, to the west of Oak Park.
Sedgwick County 911 Dispatch confirms authorities were called to a home in the 1100 block of N. Woodrow just after 7:30 a.m.; two bodies were found inside.
The house is on property just south of the Castle Inn Riverside, to the southwest of 11th Street North & River Boulevard.
A woman was going to the house to drop off her child at a home day-care; she noticed the door, which is usually open, was still locked. She saw the victims inside.
Police officers and EMS arrived; EMS crews tried to perform life-saving measures, but the victims were dead.
