After a life-long career in the radio industry, McIntosh's first day at KNSS was January 5, 1998, the day he hosted morning show #1.
During the past 25 years the show has earned numerous accolades, as the recipient of multiple state and national awards, including the Edward R. Murrow Award, and a National Association of Broadcasters Marconi Award in 2017 for Medium Market Personality of the Year.
