A child, 2, was injured in an accidental shooting in east Wichita. It happened around 6:00 p.m. Wednesday night in the 1600 block of S. Longford, between Webb and Rock Rd. off of Harry.
Officers found a woman, 42, and child who had a gunshot wound to his upper leg, which were not life-threatening.
Investigators said that the child had access to a gun and accidentally fired it, hitting himself in the leg.
An investigation is ongoing.
