A Wichita homeowner shot and injured another man allegedly breaking into his vehicle.
It happened around 3:30 a.m. Thursday morning in the 400 block of south Walnut, north of Kellogg and Seneca.
A woman told 911 that her husband shot a suspect breaking into their vehicle. The husband, 29, told officers when they arrived that he heard noises and confronted the suspect climbed out from under his truck armed with a cordless saw.
When he moved forward, threatening the homeowner he was shot. The suspect, 41, was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The incident remains under investigation.
