A wrong-way driver crashed head-on into another car in Butler County on Saturday, injuring that driver and at least three other people.
The Kansas Highway Patrol said the crash happened around 12:20 p.m. in the southbound lane of U.S.-77 about a half-mile south of Augusta.
It's not clear why the driver was driving north in the southbound lane of the highway when he collided with another car. That man was identified by the KHP as Nestor Hernandez, 23 of Wichita. He was taken to a local hospital in suspected serious condition while three occupants in the other car were taken to a hospital with minor injuries. A juvenile was in the car as well but their injury status was not released in the report.
