Sedgwick County Commission Chair Ryan Baty tells KNSS News the commission accomplished a great deal in 2024. He says the last couple of years the commission has focused "on the health of our community and leading with stability". Baty says the county commission has done "a really good job".
Baty says the county has stabilized the workforce and government services, especially public safety, with some departments up to 100 percent saffing now.
In the year ahead Baty says the focus will be on property taxes and "how do we lower the cost of government?" He says "we have our work cur out of us in 2025 but we're up for the challenge".
Baty commented during his weekly chat with Steve and Ted in the Morning on KNSS.
