At Wednesday's meeting, the Sedgwick County Commission will look at a quarterly financial report. Commission Chair Ryan Baty tells KNSS News the County is in good financial shape. He says Sedgwick County is one of only 106 counties in the U.S. with a AAA bond rating. That means bonding a project saves the taxpayers dollars.
Baty says "we are not a debt-ridden county", and most of the county's debt will be falling off over the next years.
Baty says the county also gets a good return of investments, with that money going into property tax relief. The Chairman commented during his weekly chat with Steve and Ted in the Morning on KNSS.
