The Sedgwick County Commission will take another look at using sales tax revenue instead of property tax revenue to pay for quality of life facilities such as the Zoo and Exploration Place. Commission Chair Ryan Baty tells KNSS News tne property tax revenue would be funneled to "core" operating expenses. Ryan says the quality of life attractions bring in sales tax dollars from non-county residents who use the faclities.
Baty says this would be a "reshuffle" of the "deck" and no taxes would increase under the plan. Baty commented during his weekly visit with Steve and Ted in the Morning on KNSS.
