The Harvey County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after the body of a man was found at Harvey County East Park, east of Newton on Sunday afternoon. According to a release, emergency personnel were dispatched to East Park around 12:45 p.m.
The body was found on park property and reported by passersby in the park, lying on the ground of a dried-out portion of the lake bed. The identity of the individual nor the cause of death have been identified.
The incident remains under investigation.
