The body of a man believed to be in his 30s or 40s was found submerged in a pond in south Wichita Saturday afternoon.
Emergency crews were called before 3 p.m. to the 1100 block of E. 63rd Street South, near the Kansas Turnpike.
The man was found fully clothed, along the shoreline. Officials believe the man had been in the water for some time, making identification difficult. The man may have been fishing at the pond without permission.
The investigation is ongoing.
Wichita, Sedgwick County, and Derby Fire crews were called out for the recovery efforts.
