A recent inspection on the bridge on 63rd street south, over the Arkansas River indicated that three beams are deteriorating, due to salt and water intrusion.
Beginning Monday, the Sedgwick County Public Works Department will reduce traffic to one lane in each direction to begin the repair work.
Officials say the repairs could take up to a year to complete
